Pre-semester Teaching Institute

Wednesday, August 27 | 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. | Memorial Union

Whether you are teaching for the first time or returning, the institute will give you focused time to think about your teaching and ideas for new, evidence-based approaches you can apply right away.

We'll cover topics such as:
  • Communicating clear expectations to students
  • Designing effective activities and assessments
  • Engaging students through active learning strategies and technology

Breakfast and lunch are included.

"Academic staff instructor" includes adjunct professor/instructor, instructional administrator, instructor, lecturer, professor of practice, teaching faculty, teaching professor, and teaching specialist.
"Clinical faculty/instructional staff" includes clinical adjunct professor, clinical instructor, and clinical professor.
