One of the main goals for these meetings is to build community and hear how others are using Eloqua. Contact Bounce Rates

Why they can be higher this time of year
For those of us who have many student contacts in our Eloqua campaigns, it is common to see higher than usual bounce rates approximately 3-4 weeks after the end of each semester. The grace period for former students to keep their wisc.edu email addresses valid ends 9 months after they separate from the university. Due to the higher number of students that deactivate from the previous 9 months, many of those contacts become invalid as of May each year.

How to Manage These Contacts

Make Space for New Work in Eloqua

A little spring cleaning clears your path
Here’s our friendly spring reminder to take a moment to streamline your Eloqua experience by deleting or archiving any unused assets.

Email assets can be archived (recommended) or deleted. Moving them to a folder for “old/unused” items can also work well as an intermediary step. Segments and Shared Lists that are no longer needed can be deleted (the individual contacts in them remain in the database), but Campaigns and Images cannot be deleted––moving these to a particular folder is another option to keep things looking tidy.
