Vote Now for BTAA Data Viz Championship!
Congratulations to Dr. Chloe Fouilloux (faculty/staff submission) and Prajakta Godbole (student submission) for representing UW–Madison at the inaugural BTAA Data Viz Championship. The BTAA's website has a complete list of faculty/staff and student entries from across the Big 10.
It is now time to VOTE! The details:
Voting is open through noon, February 16, 2024.
Individuals can only vote once for the faculty/staff winner and once for the student winner.
Individuals must be members of a Big Ten institution, as determined by the email address submitted on the voting form.
The challenge will be won by the visualization with the most votes in each category. Let’s help make Dr. Chloe Fouilloux and Prajakta Godbole champions!
Each entrant will present their work at the Data Viz Showcase (advance registration required) on February 16 at 1 PM. At the end of the showcase, the challenge winners will be announced. More information about the showcase and other Love Data Week events available on DAPIR’s website.

The obsolete course process is quickly coming to a close. One of these actions must be completed for courses slated for discontinuation.
Approved waiver proposal through school/college governance—by February 16 OR
Approved discontinuation—by February 23 OR
Scheduled for summer (1244) or fall (1246)— by February 23.
Any course on the obsolete course list not approved for a waiver or not scheduled, will be administratively discontinued after the February 23rd University Curriculum Committee (UCC) meeting.
