Workday go-live impacts on data and reporting
Last week, an update about Workday’s go-live impacts on data and reporting was shared by:
  • Rob Cramer, Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration.
  • Allison La Tarte, Vice Provost and Chief Data and Analytics Officer, Data Academic Planning & Institutional Research (DAPIR)
  • Adam Paulick, Associate Vice Chancellor and Executive Director for Enterprise Applications.
They wanted to provide accurate expectations regarding some anticipated delays or significant changes in data and reporting, including:
  • EAP datasets.
  • Locally built systems.
  • Tableau workbooks.
The original message was shared with the UW‒Madison Executive Committee, Deans Council, Leadership Council, Administrative Council, Change Readiness Network, shared governance secretaries, supervisors, department administrators, and key stakeholders in human resources, finance, IT, sponsored programs, and grants and contracts.

Dig deeper into what to expect.

June Badger Data Network—what to expect after Workday’s launch

Lonnie Morgan, UW-Madison ATP Data & Reporting Strategy Lead, provided valuable information about what to expect in the first six months after Workday goes live, including efforts to update data and reporting systems, like Tableau and ad-hoc queries.

Post-launch support systems were shared, and an informal poll found EAP Redshift and querying were the group's most pressing concerns.

Lonnie’s PowerPoint also reviews new data sources, when to use them, and how to access them.

Provisioning access for new users to RADAR reports unavailable from July 5 to 11

Provisioning access for new users to RADAR reports will be unavailable from July 5 through July 11 because of Workday’s July 7 go-live. Individuals requesting access for the first time will be able to do so beginning July 12.

Users with existing access will not be affected.

This precautionary measure, taken in collaboration with Web & Mobile Solutions in DoIT, is intended to prevent any unintended deprovisioning of current users during the system transition.

We appreciate your understanding and patience. For any questions or concerns, please contact dapir@provost.wisc.edu.
