Last year, several public Tableau workbooks saw a lot of traffic from individuals wanting to know more about UW–Madison. They are:
Unsurprisingly, the Dean's List Tableau workbook, which highlights high-achieving students, gets a lot of visits. Students, family, and friends want to know who made the list. Only undergraduate students actively seeking degrees are included, and an automated term switch happens on June 1st for spring terms and January 1st for fall terms.
A partnership between DAPIR, the Bursar’s Office, and the Madison Budget Office provides students with program-level tuition and fee information within days of finalized rates. The workbook shows that tuition and fees vary by program, number of credits, and residency. It helps prospective students better understand the rates for different degrees.
UW-Madison's Enrollment Report, prepared by the Office of the Registrar, shows official information about enrolled students as of UW-Madison’s official census date (defined as the 10th day of instruction in fall and spring semesters or its equivalent in summer terms). This report shows basic student demographic information, information about students’ majors, the countries, states, and counties our students come from, institutions sending us transfer students, student credit loads, and other interesting facts.
The Trends in Student Enrollments report complements the Enrollment Report and answers several questions to help understand current and historical information about UW-Madison academic offerings. Visitors can discover trends by student characteristics, including student level, gender, race/ethnicity, full-time/part-time status, tuition residency, and age.
These connected visuals created by the Graduate School include data on:
- Admissions and enrollment headcounts, including aggregate demographics and enrolled students' home state or country.
- Financial support for graduate students.
