Tableau visualization of the month: Trends in Degrees and Related Data
What does the Trends in Degrees and Related Data visualization show?
It provides information about the number of degrees awarded, degree recipient demographics, number of students completing majors and certificates, and completion of named options within major degree programs.

The visualization can be filtered by major, award level, school/college, and much more.

What are some of examples of who might use the visualization and why?

  • Faculty and staff involved in program review and completing self-study reports can use it to complete areas of the student profile and trends section.
  • Department chairs find it useful for assessment, program planning, and program review.
  • Communications staff can gather institutional figures for their presentations, articles, and social media posts.
Where does the data come from?
This visualization is created by DAPIR with data managed by the Office of the Registrar.

UW–Madison’s academic structure is used to connect UW-Madison’s degree major programs to the schools/colleges that administer them.

If you have questions about this visualization, email us. We are here to help.
