UW–Madison has vast amounts of institutional data, and organizing this rich resource is critical to ensuring its accessibility. Madison's data governance program groups data into high-level categories known as domains, and a new domain, Health Information, was recently defined.
The Health Information domain includes data covered by HIPAA and other medical data privacy laws, as well as data related to an individual's health or health care that is not covered by any particular law.
Updated Course Catalog Tableau visualization now available
The Course Catalog Tableau workbook recently underwent an upgrade, making it easy to locate courses that meet Core GenEd and other UW-Madison degree requirements. Thank you to the staff in academic planning and advising roles who requested these changes.
Vice Provost Allison La Tarte begins one-year term as AAUDE chair
Vice Provost Allison La Tarte began her one-year appointment as chair for the Association of American Universities Data Exchange (AAUDE) Council in April.
The appointment represents her second year of a three-year term on the council.
