Workday reports by functional area and crosswalk tools
When Workday goes live in July of 2025, most day-to-day HR, finance, and research administration data will be available in Workday for viewing and reporting. Workday reporting will replace OBIEE and WISER.

Commonly used Workday reports by functional area (Net ID protected) lists the most frequently used Workday reports that are filterable by workstream (finance, HR, or research administration) and functional areas such as payroll, budget, and staffing.

Two crosswalk tools help map current OBIEE and WISER functionality to the equivalent Workday reports.

WISER to Workday (Net ID protected)
Sort, search, or filter a table with WISER categories and reports to understand which Workday reports will replace WISER functionality. WISER is the tool used for financial reporting across the Universities of Wisconsin and will retire with the implementation of Workday.

OBIEE to Workday (Net ID protected)
Sort, search, or filter a table to understand which Workday reports will replace OBIEE functionality. Filters include OBIEE report name, Workday report name, and audiences. The tool shows the custom and delivered reports that provide views of Workday HR data similar to those supplied by OBIEE reports.

On Tuesday, June 10, from noon to 1:30 pm, the Universities of Wisconsin will have a Workday training office hour focused on Workday reporting. Office Hours are optional, supplemental training. For more information, including registration details, visit Workday Training Office Hours.

May's Badger Data Network: UW–Madison’s data platform, including ATP warehouse and data privacy
DAPIR is reenvisioning and expanding UW–Madison’s data platform. The platform’s practical goals are to significantly improve your experience by providing a single connection to search for and query data from many systems and having a wider variety of data sources available. Brad Sanders, DAPIR’s Director of Enterprise Data Management, discussed the future state of UW–Madison’s data platform and covered ATP transitions.

Claire Dalle Molle, Assistant Director of Data Privacy & Transparency, in the Office of Compliance, joined us to enhance our understanding of data privacy, share her cross-campus collaboration, and answer questions. Claire’s PowerPoint is available for download and review.
