Students make an ever-lasting impact at the center and it wouldn't be what it is today without them.

Erin Gretzinger
Erin is a K-12 reporter at The Capital Times in Madison, WI. She was previously a higher education reporter at The Assembly, a long-form digital magazine covering power and place in North Carolina. Erin kick-started the GridgeFridge podcast during her time as a student.
Akshay Kalra
Akshay is currently based in Cleveland, OH, where he works at a nonprofit focused on economic development. His work centers on revitalizing a historic movie theater into a sustainable, community-oriented asset. 
Catherine Torner
Catherine is currently located in Chicago, IL, working as an English Language Arts teacher for middle school students. Catherine first learned about the Morgridge Center through her sister, another former community-based learning intern.
Vic Soto
Vic is currently based in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago, IL, with her 3-year old bully mix, Chapo. She is a bilingual programs manager at the Center for Conflict Resolution. Vic describes the Morgridge Center as: unforgettable, valuable, and Inspiring.

Juna Neisinger
Juna's work in public service continues today in Minnesota's public sector for the Ramsey/Washington County Recycling and Energy Center where she is the program coordinator for the Food Scraps Pickup Program.
Madeline Girard
Madeline is a human factors and usability engineer at Fresenius Medical Care North America, a premier healthcare company that provides renal care products and services. Madeline works in a niche field focused on biomedical technology for kidney dialysis. 
Lauren Lewandowski
Lauren is a communications specialist at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), in which she considers it her dream job. Today, Lauren considers applying to the Morgridge Center internship one of the best bets of her young professional career. 
Anisa Yudawanti
Anisa (she/her) is a PhD candidate in Race, Inequality and Language in Education at Stanford University. Her research sits at the intersections of education, abolition/carceral and critical geography studies. She is currently based in San Francisco, CA. 

Logan Gade
Logan is currently based in Berkeley, CA. After spending two years of teaching English abroad, she is now a middle school math instructor. She still reps her Badger Volunteer shirts wherever she goes!
Chue Feng Yang
Chue Feng is an admission counselor at Carroll University, guiding first-year students from Milwaukee County through admissions and enrollment. A former two-term AmeriCorps College Access Coach at College Possible Wisconsin, he holds a master's of education in organizational development and learning from Carroll University.
Laine Bottemiller
Laine is currently based in Washington D.C., where she works as an executive assistant at a political media firm. Laine has previously worked on a political campaign and is interested in attending law school. She wants to give a big thank you to the center for their incredible leadership and for bringing her some of her closest friends. On, Wisconsin!
Danielle Wendricks
Dani’s passion for person-centered support and community development was fostered as a peer advisor in 2018. She continues to use that skillset and interest in her work as a counselor at NYU College & Career Lab and a graduate student at NYU Silver School of Social Work.

Sam Battenberg
Sam is currently a second-year genetic counseling student, where she learns how to guide patients through genetic testing decisions. She was previously a peer advisor at the Morgridge Center.
Emma Gleed
Emma currently lives in Madison, WI, and serves as the education programs manager at the Morgridge Center. Previously, she worked with a local AmeriCorps program, Schools of Hope, that served elementary students through literacy tutoring.
L. Malik Anderson
L. Malik is an associate producer for “All Of It with Alison Stewart,” New York Public Radio/WNYC’s midday arts and culture program. While attending UW-Madison, he spent two years at the Morgridge Center, first as a marketing intern and later as a social media intern.
Emily Merkel
Emily is a community health outreach Peace Corps volunteer serving in Western Kenya. She is attached to a local health facility and assists with health promotion and education outreach activities. During her time as a student, Emily was a Badger Volunteer for six semesters and a peer advisor.

Hibah Ansari
Hibah is a writer and editor at the ACLU national headquarters where she writes about the most pressing civil liberties issues facing Americans today. Her work focuses on immigration, racial justice, democracy, and more. She’s based in New York City.
Sydney Farr
Sydney is currently a software product manager at Swisslog, a leading provider of logistics automation solutions for warehouses and distribution centers. She is based in Appleton, WI.
Saffiatu Barrie
Saffiatu currently resides in New York City. She works as a labor & delivery registered nurse at Mount Sinai West. She spent two years as an operations intern at the Morgridge Center.
Shuka Konishi
Shuka (she/her) is a medical student at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Shuka was a Badger Volunteer for numerous semesters as well as a BV intern.
