Maia Ninan
Maia is the planning and community outreach coordinator within the community & economic development department for the Village of Bensenville, where she supports long-term community planning and works closely with local businesses to promote economic development and growth. During her time with the Morgridge Center, she was a Badger Volunteers intern.
Becca Penn
Becca is an elementary school teacher in the Madison Metropolitan School District. During her time at the Morgridge Center, she worked as an operations intern. The Morgridge Center was defining part of her college experience!
Fisnik Lumani
Fisnik is a people-first leader and director of talent at UW Credit Union, where he drives strategies in recruitment, leadership development, and organizational growth. With a strong foundation in coaching and a passion for fostering equitable, human-centered workplaces, he partners with leaders to align talent practices with long-term business success.
Natalie Tesch
After graduating, Natalie got a job at a marketing agency that specializes in public health education campaigns. Recently she left that job to hike the Pacific Crest Trail.

Shreya Bandyopadhyay
During her time at UW-Madison, Shreya served as a voter engagement ambassador with the Morgridge Center. There, she created and co-hosted a voter engagement podcast, Pod-Cast Your Vote. Since graduating, Shreya has gone on to work as a creative digital strategies associate for the National Women’s Law Center and as the deputy press secretary for the Executive Office of Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
Melissa Her
Melissa is a community engagement nurse with the Dane County Public Health Department. She first discovered her passion for service as a Badger Volunteers intern and has since dedicated her career to advancing health equity. Guided by the principles of reproductive justice, she works to expand access to sexual and reproductive health care and to build a healthier, more informed community.
Tamia Fowlkes
Tamia is a public investigator for The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. She writes stories focused on politics, housing, health care with a focus on accountability for wrongdoing. She got her start at the Morgridge Center as an Andrew Goodman Ambassador and Big 10 Voting Challenge intern.
Caroline Robson
Caroline is currently living in Chicago, IL, where she does marketing for an International Education not-for-profit. Her time at the Morgridge Center illuminated her passion for increasing access higher education and community engagement.
Julia Warheit
Julia is based in Chicago, IL, and is the policy manager at Citizen Action/Illinois, focusing on healthcare affordability, voting rights, and other progressive issues. Her passion for civic engagement and voting rights grew during her time as a vote fellow at the Morgridge Center during the 2020 election cycle.
Valerie Buroker
Valerie is currently completing her Master’s of Social Work at UW-Madison with a focus in child, youth, and family welfare. She is part of the Title IV-E Child Welfare Training Program, and plans to pursue a career in child welfare following graduation.
Ray Mielke
Ray is currently a senior financial analyst at general Mills in Minneapolis, MN, where he works on their internal audit team to advise different functions on risk management and review processes for compliance.
Shannon Abolins
Shannon is currently working as the administrative specialist at the Morgridge Center. She is pursuing her master's degree in educational leadership and policy analysis at UW-Madison, where she will graduate in May 2026.
Anna Barry
Anna is the assistant director of social media at UW–Madison, working closely with the Chancellor on her social media accounts. As a student back in 2018, Anna was the first Big Ten Voting Challenge Intern at the Morgridge Center, and she now continues her involvement in BadgersVote as support staff.
Jenna Harb
Jenna is currently working for the Center for Peacemaking at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. At the Morgridge Center, she was the Student Organization Partnership Program student coordinator, and her experiences at the Morgridge Center have inspired her to continue to help uplift young peoples' voices in social justice spaces.
Taryn Boll
Taryn is the marketing manager at Wisconsin Surplus Online Auction. She credits the opportunity to build her marketing skills and love for creative social media work to the Morgridge Center as the multimedia design intern.
Adam is currently a 4th year resident in urology at the University of Buffalo and will be doing a fellowship in reconstructive urology after graduation. He spent four extremely formative years with the MCPS, where he learned about the multitude of ways that one can positively impact their community, and during that time was fortunate to work alongside so many incredible people.
