A cave of climate change clues
Formed over tens of thousands of years, stalagmites and stalactites hold secrets to the ancient environments from which they erupted. A newly published study of a stalagmite found in Wisconsin's Cave of the Mounds reveals previously undetected history of the local climate going back thousands of years. Cameron Batchelor, who received her PhD in geoscience in 2022, led the project. Read More

More than 500 students from 27 Wisconsin schools were recently invited to the UW-Madison campus to experience Languages of the World Day. Hosted by the UW Language Institute, the event granted attending high schools a chance to experience and learn about different world languages and cultures.
