From Lew Friedland: On Thursday, Yiping Xia successfully defended his dissertation “A Lifeworld Approach to News Engagement: Life Contexts, Social Networks, and Chinese- Canadians’ Relationships with News.” Committee members: Chris Wells, co-chair, Sue Robinson, Lucas Graves, and Mike Xenos. Yiping is heading to UNC where he will begin his post-doc.
