Almost 60 years after her gradnfather's graduation, Samara Sodos (BA‘93), an associate professor at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida and member of the J-School’s Board of Visitors, followed her grandfather's path to the J-School. This year, Sodos decided to honor her grandfather’s legacy and establish the Hyland J. Barnes Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Abigail Becker (BA'15) started her career as a city and county government reporter but has translated her journalism skills to her current position as a Senior Associate for Communications and Outreach at UniverCity Alliance.
