Professor Mike Wagner spoke to several local media outlets about the state supreme court primary race
Mike was featured this week on
WKOW and
NBC15's coverage of the judicial primary race. With the future of abortion, voting rights and redistricting in the battleground state hanging in the balance, Wagner says this judicial race is “extremely consequential” for Wisconsinites. Wagner was also live on Channel 3 from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on primary election night, February 21.

Chancellor Jennifer Mnookin has selected Katy Culver to chair the search committee for UW-Madison’s new Vice Chancellor for Strategic Communication position.
Administrative assistant Angelina Stone wins College of Letters and Science 2022-23 University Staff Awards
Angelina was awarded one of the five awards offered by the Dean of the College of Letters & Science recognizing outstanding performance, service, and contributions by L&S University Staff members. The L&S University Staff Awards honor staff members for their excellence in the following areas: effectiveness, innovation, creativity, originality, leadership, climate, and service to the university.

Ph.D. candidate Xerxes Minocher has accepted the prestigious Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Technology & Justice at Haverford College
Xerxes has accepted the Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Technology and Justice at Haverford College in Pennsylvania. The two-year postdoc will afford Xerxes the opportunity to teach, lead colloquia and advance their research on artificial intelligence and power dynamics.
Undergraduate students win the brass prize at the American Advertising Federation – Madison awards
Current students Cami Corcoran, Katie Raynes, Jamie Randall, Taylor Smith, Elizabeth Hoffman and Peri Cook won the brass prize in the Integrated Advertising and Consumer Campaign categories at the
American Advertising Federation - Madison Advertising Awards. Their 89-page campaign project for J345: Principles and Practices of Strategic Communication included creative, social media, public relations, and media plans for the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless rewards credit card.
