Professor Katy Culver invited to serve on 2024 PBS Editorial Standards Review Committee
Katy has been invited to serve on the 2024 PBS Editorial Standards Review Committee, being convened to help ensure that PBS standards reflect current best practices in journalism. Her service will include trips to Washington D.C. to review the PBS Editorial Standards and Practices and advise on any recommended updates to the standards. The committee includes representatives from the PBS Board of Directors, leaders from across the public media system and individuals with distinction in the field of journalism. Congratulations, Katy!
Professor Sue Robinson wins 2023-2024 Klein-Carnell Distinguished Fellow Award
Sue was recently awarded the 2023-2024 Klein-Carnell Distinguished Fellow Award from Temple University, where she earned her Ph.D. The award is given to alumnus of the media and communication doctoral program that received their degree at least eight years prior to their nomination. Sue will give a keynote speech in March to accept the award. Congratulations, Sue!

Each year, the Nieman Lab asks experts to predict what the world of journalism may look like in the coming year. This year, Sue worked with Matt Carlson and Seth Lewis to offer an opinion and they predict that "journalists will stand up to Trump.
