Pro-Tracker Christy Klein featured for internship at Isthmus

Pro-Track MA student Christy Klein was featured in an article highlighting Isthums' internship program. The article, "Training the next generation of journalists," also featured past Isthmus interns J-School alum Tamia Fowlkes (BA'22) and junior Ellie Nowakowski. Klein recently wrote her first article for Isthmus, "Lapping the lagoon," about the Tenney Lap boat race. As an added bonus, SJMC PhD student Matt Minich was on the winning boat race team. Congrats to all!

Alum Kynala Phillips to host panel on food security

Award-winning journalist and J-School alum Kynala Phillips (BA'20) will moderate a panel discussion titled “Food Justice: From sovereignty to security in Wisconsin” at noon on Wednesday, June 22, at the Women’s Leadership Summit.

The second annual Summit will take place June 20 – July 1, with one session at noon each day streamed on Facebook Live. It is free and open to the public. Read more.
