Distinguished Teaching Faculty Deb Pierce featured in College of Letters & Science biannual magazine
Deb was interviewed for the College of Letters & Science summer magazine about her partnership with the L&S Instructional Design Collaborative (IDC) to refresh her online course, Media Fluency in the Digital Age. The course is very popular among undergraduate students in the Digital Studies Certificate program and has been taught online during the summer for over a decade. The new class format is focused on creating a student-faculty relationship and classroom culture despite being online through video snippets, graphic elements, or web pages to convey course concepts.
