Last week, Matt successfully defended his dissertation, "Neutral correlates of three putative mechanisms for communication-driven behavior change." His co-advisers were Professor Karyn Riddle and Assistant Professor Chris Cascio. Congratulations, Matt!

This week, we welcomed a brand new cohort of professional MA, research MA and Ph.D. students to Vilas. Students toured the J-School, met our faculty and staff, and mingled with current students over a Mediterranean lunch. And of course, no new student orientation is complete without a trip to the Memorial Union Terrace. We're so excited to welcome another class of top-notch, eager students!
