Professor Mike Wagner travels to Greendale, WI to speak about misinformation

Mike spoke about misinformation in a polarized society to an audience of 50 at the Greendale Public Library on Sept. 18. The event was a part of the Badger Talks program which works to spread the Wisconsin Idea and connect UW-Madison with communities throughout Wisconsin by engaging Wisconsin residents on topics they care about and sharing the latest discoveries of UW faculty, staff and graduate students.

Chapter in Political Communication, Culture, and Society

PhD student Diego Romeo's master's thesis, "You Are Not Welcome Here: The Representation of Otherness on Salvini's Instagram's Posts," was included as a chapter in the book Political Communication, Culture, and Society which was recently published by Routledge. Congratulations, Diego!

Oct. 9: Ivan L. Preston Research Colloquium with Noshir Contractor

Noshir Contractor, Jane S. & William J. White Professor of Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University, will present his research, "People Analytics: Using Digital Exhaust from the Web to Leverage Network Insights in the Algorithmically Infused Workplace." The event will be held in the Nafziger Conference Room from noon–2 p.m. Lunch will be served at noon prior to the talk.
