New Faculty Q&A with Assistant Professor Tomás Dodds

This fall, the SJMC welcomed Tomás Dodds as an assistant professor. Hired as part of RISE-AI, the AI focus area of UW–Madison's Wisconsin RISE Initiative, Dodds' research examines how new technologies shape newsroom practices, journalistic authority and the ways reporters understand their profession.

SJMC Welcomes Matthew Traub (BA’92) to its Board of Visitors

We are excited to welcome Matthew Traub (BA’92) to our Board of Visitors this fall. Traub is the COO and president of DKC, a full-service public relations, marketing and government affairs firm based in New York City, and is a key player in the firm’s technology, media business and crisis management areas.

Three Questions for Enjoyiana Nururdin (BA’21)

Enjoyiana Nururdin is a local government reporter for The Cap Times in Madison, Wisconsin. After graduating from SJMC in 2021, Nururdin earned an MA in Politics from Columbia University. With plans to pursue a PhD in the future, her academic and professional interests center on political theory, Black American history, race and human interest storytelling.
